We charge by volume, measured in cubic metres (m³). Think of one cubic metre as a washing machine plus a couple of bags. Every job has a 2m³ minimum.

Those flat prices include the truck, two people, all the lifting, transport and tipping. There’s no call-out fee, no fuel surcharge and no “labour” line added at the end.

Why the three waste types cost different amounts
The price difference isn’t us picking numbers. It’s what the transfer station charges when our truck drives over the weighbridge.
- Green waste is the cheapest to dispose of because it goes to composting or mulching, not landfill. That saving goes to you.
- Household junk is mixed: furniture, boxes, appliances, textiles. We separate it into recyclables and landfill (see why we separate your waste), which keeps the tip fee down.
- Construction waste is heavy. Bricks, tiles, plasterboard and timber offcuts weigh far more per cubic metre, and mixed building waste attracts the highest tip rates in NSW, around $390 a tonne once the state waste levy is added. Heavier loads cost more to dump, so the per-metre price is higher.
What makes a rubbish removal job cost more (or less)
Volume. The single biggest factor. Two cubic metres and seven cubic metres are very different truck loads.
Weight. Soil, concrete, tiles and rubble are priced as construction waste even when they’re in a residential backyard, because the tip weighs them.
Mattresses. These are the one surcharge we have on household jobs. Tipping facilities charge us a minimum of $110 per mattress for the labour required to separate the springs from the fabric. We pass that on at cost, so budget $110 per mattress on top of your load price.
Access. Ground-floor garage with the roller door up is the fastest job we do. Fourth-floor walk-up with a narrow staircase takes longer, and on very hard access jobs we’ll tell you upfront if it changes the quote. Most don’t.
Sorting. If your pile is already grouped (timber with timber, metal with metal, bags with bags), loading is faster and separation at the tip is easier. It won’t change the flat price, but it does mean more of your waste gets recycled.
What it isn’t. We don’t charge extra for same-day service, weekends, or for a job being “too big”. We’ve cleared whole houses.
What the flat prices look like in practice
- A garage clean-out with old furniture, boxes and a few broken appliances is usually a 5m³ household load: $600.
- A lounge and bedroom clearance before a move, with one mattress, is typically 5m³ plus the mattress fee: $600 + $110 = $710.

A skip looks cheaper on the sticker until you factor in that you fill it yourself, you pay for the empty space if you underfill it, and you can’t put mattresses, e-waste or certain materials in it without extra charges. A removal team fills the truck efficiently, only charges for what’s actually loaded, and leaves the same afternoon.
Council clean-ups are great for a couch and a few boxes if you can wait. They won’t take building waste, and most councils cap you at about two cubic metres.
